About MKLab

The Multimedia Knowledge & Social Media Analytics lab is part of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of the Centre for Research and Technology - Hellas and is located in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Lab has extensive experience and expertise in semantic multimedia analysis, indexing and retrieval, social media and big data analytics, knowledge structures, reasoning and personalization for multimedia applications, eHealth and environmental applications. Members of the lab have authored more than100 papers in refereed journals, 35 book chapters, 8 patents and more than 240 papers in international conferences. MKLab has more than 50 members (end 2014) and has participated in 25 EC funded, 10 national and 7 industry funded R&D projects.

Using CrowdSignals.io Data

The MKLab will use the CrowdSignals.io data for research in data mining, activity, behaviour, stress, and cognitive state recognition.
